Australians may be voting on Gay Marriage.
Despite the car incident (and if you are associated with me on facebook, you can get updates there), I am going to keep just plugging away here with marriage updates and other stuff that probably is a little more important than my issues.
There is word that when Parliament reconvenes they will actually vote on gay marriage in Australia. This will be done by a "conscience vote", meaning that elected officials will be allowed to vote outside "party lines" in order to decide the fate of the GLBT citizens they are supposed to represent. In New Jersey, this worked to cause the gay marriage vote to be struck down. New York as well. So we'll see how well it goes there, yea?
Of course, they've called for this vote before... so who knows? (Continued...)
